Dog Grooming is for Good Health

Dog grooming Bluffon SC/ Hilton Head SC

There are those who will say grooming thier dog is a luxury service.  We would would disagree.  Grooming your pup is a necessary task to keep him in good health.  Take for example the mello hound groomed at Greorgia Animal Rescue and Defense (GARD).  Columbo is a chilled out schnuzer who needed a spit shine.  Months of neglect caused the mosture around the eyes to get tangled in the over grown hair to form a hard crust....  Better know as eye boogers.  This was so severe that he could not open one of his eyes.  Take a look at the before pictures.

Before:

He also had several mats in is beard that had to be removed.  One thing I can say about Columbo....He is a trooper and a joy to groom. We give him an A+ for grooming table manners!  Three hour later he looked like a new dog.  Unfortuantely, there appeared to be some infection of the eye that could not open.   The moral of the story is failure to groom your dog on a consistant schedule can impact his health.  Groom your dog every 4 to 6 weeks so he can stay healthy and clean.

After:

Columbo's spa treatment included cleaning his ears, triming his pad, sanitation trim, brush out,  demat, shampoo, whitening shampoo, condioner, blow dry and breed specific style.  For shelters and rescues the housecall dog grooming service is free.  Paying clients would have paid $90.00 for this spa-tacular session.  The mini-groom took an hour and a half, $30.00, and the pet styling took an hour and a half, 60.00.  Take away lesson for pet parents... not grooming your dog on a regular schedule will end up costing you money in grooming and vet expenses.  Pet parents living in Bluffton SC, Hilton Head SC or Okatie SC, call Not 2 Shaggy Housecall Dog Grooming before your fur baby gets too shaggy.
